Merry Christmas!!!

Man, my Christmas was awesome.  I got everything I wanted and more.  Ok, lets start with the first night, Christmas Eve with my dads family.

My grandmother booked a room at Pompeii so we went there, then we went back to her house to open our gifts.  I got:

Sweater
Socks
Electric Razor
U2 iPod
The Godfather Boxed Set
Evil Dead I and II
Metal Gear Solid 3
Morrissey CD's

And last but not least, the best gift I got out of everything......a Celtic Cross with the Irish blessing inscribed in it.  It was given to the paulbearers at my grandmothers funeral as a reminder of him.  It was definatly meaningful.

My Grandmother gave the girls Angels, and told my little cousin Shannon, "Pop Pop used to call you his little angel," then her twin brother Brodie, dressed in his new Army stuff asks "did Pop Pop call me his little G.I. Joe?"

It was probably the most adorable thing I've ever heard.  We were all hysterical laughing.  We all missed my grandfather dearly, and we all sensed that he wasn't there.  But then, something incredible happened.  We looked up at the moon, and saw a huge halo around it.  My Uncle called it "a gift to us from Pop Pop."  I'm quite sure theres a scientific explenation as to why there was a halo around the moon, but still, sometimes its nice to tap into your spiritual side.

Then, today, Christmas Day.  I got:

A new Laptop
Printer/Scanner/Copier (this was unexpected).

My Uncle got me a gift card to Old Navy, and my Aunt and Uncle gave me 25 dollars.  Later me, my sister and her boyfriend went to my cousins house in Garden City for coffee.  There, someone gave me a gift card to Guitar Center (I'M GETTING THAT ELECTRO HARMONIX PEDAL SOON ENOUGH!!!).

I felt bad though.  I love everything I got, but I couldn't help but feel sorry for those who don't have it as fortunate as I did this Christmas.  But at the sametime, a lot of them are probably with their family, cause when me and my sister looked around the room....well, I won't get into that.  It was a very good Christmas and I hope everyone else had an awesome Christmas.

Oh, I might be singing for a new band.

I feel like such a Scrooge this Christmas. My tree isn't decorated (and I couldn't give two shits), my house isn't decorated (could care less), and tomorrows Christmas, and I've never been more apathetic about it.

I always loved Christmas, but this year, I'm just kinda "meh" about it. I think maybe its because I work in the mall, and they pushed it onto us. They had the damn place decorated in the middle of October, so what was the point? Also, I had to deal with all those people. It wasn't very fun. One night, I didn't get out till midnight, and when I finally leave and go up to my car, there is snow and ice all over the place. I wasn't upset because of this, but then, I got to open my car........FROZEN!!!! I couldn't get in. And then, finally, I get one of my backdoors open to put my bags and backpack in, but what possibly could've went wrong? The button to open my backdoor.....FROZEN. I couldn't shut my door. It was 10 degrees, with windchills of minus-whatever the hell it was, and I couldn't get home. I didn't know what to do. So I did what anyone else would do.....I called my dad. He told me to go somewhere and get bottles of hot water and splash it on the latches. I go back, and what do you know.......MY MANAGER IS STILL IN THE STORE. She gave me some bottles, I filled them up hot water, and ran to my car. Luckily nothing was stolen, and I got the latches to open and I was on my way home.

Then the next day, FROZEN OUT AGAIN, this time I knew what to do. Unfortunatly though, it made me late. I didn't get introuble though, because EVERYONE...INCLUDING MY HEAD MANAGER was late.

Then this whole week I worked non-stop, so I should have a nice fat paycheck, plus I finished school. Today I finished my holiday shopping, and I like to think I did a pretty good job. I got as follows:

Mom: Lamp
Dad: George Washington Biography (he loves books and George Washington..lol)
Sister: Lover's Rock by Sade
Lorraine (Step-mom): Candle holder and candle
Grandpa: Frank Sinatra book
Mimi: Blue sweater
Taylor (got her in the family grab bag): Modell's giftcard (BY REQUEST...I WOULD NEVER BUY A GIFTCARD WILLINGLY UNLESS I ABSOLUTLY HAD TO).

I wanted to make sure this was a great Christmas, it certainly was an expensive one, but thats ok, everyone deserves what they get.

So I guess, now that I'm off, I'm starting to feel it. I dunno, I think this year was stressful for everybody. Also, its definatly a depressing Christmas, due to the fact that my Pop pop won't be there. But I'll make it through.

Christmas Eve, Mimi booked a room at Pompeii, so she doesn't have to deal with all the cooking and stuff, then were gonna go to her house and open our presents (thats where my dad gives me his presents).

Christmas: I'm getting a nice present (I know what it is....I accidently signed off on it for the UPS guy....lol). You'll all know what it is Christmas day. Then, I'm going to my Aunts. After that, I'm going to my Cousin Jenny's house for cake and coffee and get my grab bag gift.

Wierd that like....its Christmas Eve tomorrow. Am I the only one thats just not feeling it?

I dunno, maybe I'm thinking about this too much.

I'll be fine. So if I don't update tomorrow or Christmas day (which I probably won't), have a very Merry and Special Christmas this year.
